Moving Day!

I’ve decided that I’m going to move on over to blogspot. It’s been a nice little run at WordPress, but they don’t allow certain things I want to incorporate into my blog. Everything will remain the same, don’t you worry :)

I hope you all will follow me at my new address, can’t wait to see you there! :)

Roots roots go away

Target bag, F21 sweater & leggings, Steve Madden flats, Side-cart on Paris street dress

I had my hair done today, huzzah!  It’s such a good feeling, to be rid of my brown roots and to have a proper shampoo, because I don’t do that at home. Kidding, just making sure you’re paying attention. Plus, no one can massage your head like at a salon, and I mean nobody. That’s worth $50 right there. Practically.

Anyone excited for the weekend? If you are, I wish we could trade places. I’m not excited, I’ve got so much homework I’d rather crawl under a rock and live there until finals are over. But I guess you have to be present for those or something. To pass anyway. Overrated I say.

What I am thrilled about is summertime. It means flowy dresses (really need to get some of those), ice cream cones (sticky hands are the worst though) and late night movies (as long as they aren’t too late, I do have to work early after all).

Anyone excited for anything in particular? Zoo trips? Swimming time? General amount of free time to lay around and do nothing?

A smile a day

Target top & shoes, Etsy belt, Express Skirt, F21 & gifted ring

You’ll have to thank my Mama for my smile. She e-mailed me saying “I love your blog, but you need to smile more.” I love a compliment/complaint all in the same sentence. It’s talented. It’s Momish. But I can’t say no to my Mom. Who can? It’s her Mother’s Day present. A smile on my blog. What can I say, I’m a generous person.

In other news, I managed to scoop up a brown pair of the blogosphere-coveted Cynthia Vincent for Target platforms. I am so stoked to wear them to oblivion. I’m stoked to wear them period! It unfortunately broke my not-buying-anything-this-month rule, but it’s a one-off (I swear).

Aren’t they beautiful? And is anyone else excited for the Zac Posen for Target line?

You’re welcome.

My favorite from his F10 collection? The winged darlings. They are a-w-e-s-o-m-e. And I mean, awesome.

Good night lace

Etsy necklace, F21 top & skirt, Gifted shoes

I hope you’re enjoying these night shots as much as I’m enjoying not waking up early to get good morning shots. Ugg I hate to sound incredibly redundant but all I have on the brain is homework. It’s just going to be a nightmare of trying to get it all finished today. I’m heading to Avenue Coffee in a bit to take over a table with all of my books, folders and papers. But let’s be honest, the only reason I’m going is to have an excuse to buy a scone.

It’s gonna be a doozy

UO top, F21 jeans, belt, shoes & necklace

It seems that Forever 21 has once again swallowed me whole and spit me back out wearing all their clothes. What can I say, I’m a sucker for… everything they sell.

This weekend is going to be a doozy. I have approximately 100 million things to accomplish before Monday including working on my articles, poly-sci & lit homework. Plus I have make time for other important things, like catching a re-run of the new Real Housewives of New York episode. It’s the simple things in life that I really get a kick out of (read: squabbles between middle-age socialites).

Here’s to having a great weekend! Thanks for all your sweet, lovely comments you guys. You truly make my day.

Gimme tulle

Thrifted dress & belt, F21 skirt & rings, Guess shoes

Imagine a world in which I didn’t snarl/squint in all my pictures. Can you see it? Can you taste it? Ok I went too far.

My point: I need to get up earlier in the morning to take pictures because after taking these I found that my legs were literally blending into my shoes. So I had to throw my photo integrity out the window and turn the brightness down on these puppies.

The good news is I was utterly inspired by Kendi to throw my tutu under my dress today and I l o v e d it. I’d been throwing on my tutu at home, staring at myself in the mirror and snarling (it’s not just localized to mornings as friends and family will account to). It just didn’t seem to work with anything I had without looking like I was going to burst into dance. I do that enough as it is, in a tutu would just be plain embarrassing.
